Strategic Goals & Objectives (2010-2012)

1)  Improve organization and planning.

• Create strategic plan (mission, vision, goals, objectives, tasks)
• Create internal disaster response/communications protocol.
• Integrate partners into National Donations Management Network.

1)  Determine resources and capabilities of all partners

• Confirm partner list.
• Create a Resources and Capabilities Directory.
• Determine resource and capabilities gaps as guide for recruitment and training.

3)  Conduct outreach and recruit new members.

• Develop brochure and newsletter.
• Recruit new partner organizations; target specific groups, such as faith-based community.
• Send representatives to meetings and conferences.
• Sponsor events.

4)  Strengthen strategic partnerships.

• Establish partnerships with all county emergency managers.
• Add SoAzVOAD to all county emergency response plan annexes.
• Continue collaboration with AZVOAD and other regional VOADs

5)  Improve communications and information sharing.

• Improve communications using website, listservs, social networking.
• Utilize alert systems.

6)  Provide and sponsor training for partner organizations and volunteers.

• Arrange WebEOC training for all partner organizations.
• Organize other training useful for partners.
